the other end of the galaxy

Many years ago, I was talking with Pat Fish about the Jazz Butcher Tribute CD that a bunch of his fans had put together, and that I had participated in as a fledgling home computer recordist. He said he was happy that I had covered Southern Mark Smith since I was from the South (albeit the southern US, rather than the southern UK). I told him that I had considered doing Rosemary Davis World of Sound, but faster…maybe in the style of Unrest or Air Miami (or Mark Robinson, I suppose). He giggled and slapped his knee, “That might be fun to hear….”

Well, we’re thousands of days since that conversation but I’ve been entertaining the thought on & off ever since. I’ve finally put it together and, like most everything, the tempo has slowed down since its initial conception. I found a few short video clips I’d recorded on my iPhone of summer in Point Pleasant and strung them together just because of the timing of the beach season coming to a close here. You can listen or download the song for free at the link beneath the video. Cheers, Pat…thanks for all the great tunes!
